A quad ride near Ubud starts from about the price of a lunch in some listings and several times that in others. This guide lines up the from-prices, shows what each includes and names the charges that arrive on the day.

The Bali ATV ride price you see first is a from-price, the lowest figure on a listing's booking page, tied to its cheapest option. The ride-only listings include a safety briefing and, on site, lockers, safety gear, towels and showers. The combined day shows the same lockers, safety gear, towels and showers and adds a meal of fried rice or noodles after the rafting.
What moves the number is the option you choose. The combined day lists 3 to 8 hours by option, optional hotel pickup and a meeting-point route for guests who make their own way. A private listing offers an ATV-only option with a meeting point and an all-inclusive option with all tickets, which is a different price for a different day.
Read the figure as an entry point, then step through the options on the booking page to see the price of the day you actually want. The prices on this page are the platform's starting prices in your currency, rounded, and the exact total appears at checkout. Two listings with the same headline price can differ by an hour of riding, a meal or a transfer, so the second look matters more than the first number.
Price and content
| Outing | Price floor | Length listed | Comes with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ride and raft | $16 | 3 to 8 hours in all | ATV, rafting, a meal |
| Gorilla Face ride | $22 | 1.5 to 8 hours in all | Quad ride and lunch |
| Ride with lunch | $22 | 1.5 to 9 hours in all | Quad ride and lunch |
| Private zip-line | $22 | 1.5 to 8 hours in all | Quads, zip-line, a meal |
| Waterfalls, caves | $39 | From 1 to 1.5 hours | A short quad ride |
| Long-tunnel ride | $51 | Just 1.5 hours | A quad ride, waterfalls |
All figures are from-prices from the booking platform; lengths as listed.
The lowest from-price, $16, appears on two combined ATV and rafting listings. Just above it come the lunch-and-ride outings: $22 for a zip-line option, $22 for the Gorilla Face ride, and $22 each for the ride-only listing and the private zip-line listing.
Short rides to a named destination sit higher. The waterfall-and-caves ride starts from $39 and is listed at 1 to 1.5 hours, and the long-tunnel ride starts from $51 and is listed at 1.5 hours. Those listings are built around a track rather than around a whole day, which is why the hours and the price do not move together.
How much an ATV ride in Bali costs depends on what the day holds, and a lower from-price does not make a cheaper day by itself. A 3 to 8 hour outing with rafting and a meal carries more than a 1.5 hour ride, so compare what each includes before you compare the numbers. A useful test is to ask whether the hours you pay for are hours on the quad or hours of driving and waiting.
The ladder in one picture
The lowest from-price each listing shows today; every figure is a starting price, not a quote.
Three charges are worth knowing about in advance. On a tandem party that has an odd number of riders, the odd one out rides solo and pays an extra on-site charge, and the listings do not print the amount, so ask when you book. Putting a figure next to each of these before the day starts is the simplest way to avoid an argument at the registration desk.
The Kuber listing does print its special cases: upgrading a single ATV to a tandem costs IDR 400,000 extra, and a tandem split into two singles costs IDR 600,000 extra. Those rupiah amounts are as the listing states them, and we do not convert them.
Photos and video are the third. The waterfall-and-caves listing says its photo and video service is run by an independent vendor on site, optional and paid at the location, and the Kuber listing says third-party vendors at the ATV location provide the documentation. At the rafting finish line, Sobek also sells river photos as an optional purchase.3

Transport can matter as much as the ride. Pickup is listed as available on several of these rides, and on the combined day it is optional. Without it you need your own way to the base, and free parking is listed for scooters and cars at one ride-only listing.
Ubud is small and hilly, and the tourism ministry says you can hire a bicycle or motorbike to get around it.4 Within Ubud you cannot summon a metered taxi or a ride-hailing car, so a fare has to be haggled with the local taxi cooperative.5 We cannot give a figure for that trip, since it depends on where you sleep.
When two rides cost about the same, the one with pickup built in saves you the negotiation and the early-morning navigation. Decide which matters more to you before you compare the from-prices.
Where the money goes, in order
While booking
Choose single or tandem, pickup or meeting point, meal or no meal.
Prior to payment
Every listing here is free to cancel until the day before the start.
At check-in
Pay any on-site charge the listing mentions, such as for an odd tandem rider.
Once you finish
Photo and video from independent vendors is optional and paid at the location.
Once on Bali
A tandem ATV puts two people on one quad, one driving and one as the passenger, and the tubing-and-ATV listing that states a weight rule gives a maximum of 100 kg each for a tandem ride. It is a way to share a vehicle, not a way to ride for free, and the staff at the base will show you how the tandem seat works before you set off.
Odd numbers are the trap. A party of three booked as tandem leaves one rider solo with an extra on-site charge, so the cheaper-looking booking can end up costing more than a deliberate mix of single and tandem. Count your party before you choose.
Where a listing prints a figure, it states what changing your mind at the base costs, as the Kuber listing does for upgrades and splits. Settle the single-or-tandem question before you pay, and the number on your confirmation is much more likely to be the number you end up paying.

Before and on the day
Cancelling any listing in this guide costs nothing until the day before, and each also lets you reserve now and pay later. A booking costs nothing to hold until the deadline, which makes comparing dates low-risk. Keep the confirmation email, because it names the option you paid for and the pickup time you chose.
Prices on this site appear in your currency at the European Central Bank's reference rate and are rounded, so the figure at checkout can differ by a small amount. Charges payable on site are in rupiah and stay in rupiah.
The island levy is separate from any ride. Foreign tourists pay a Bali levy of Rp 150,000 per person, once per trip, payable cashless through the Love Bali system before you arrive or at the airport and port counters.1,2 Keep the receipt with your documents, since you may be asked for it.
